Day 2 of screening workshop

I was so happy with being able to work on subject matter that I like. This is a lot tougher than I thought. I missed lots of spots. Need practice! Finished shots to come soon. I messed up but did manage to get 2 shirts done before the end of the day.

Silk screening – hands on

I like getting in and trying things. Have been interested in silk screening for some time but haven’t had the opportunity or any time until this weekend. Joined a weekend workshop with my friend Terry to force myself to make the time. So far so good. First day we learned about using drawing fluid and clay emulsion.

Tomorrow is what I’m looking forward too. Worked on some acetates and hope to create some screens of . . . of course my favourite subject matter these days, my dream wr racer. Here’s a preview of one background screen. Man, I have respect for the precision and detail needed to do this stuff properly. Back out again tomorrow to finish off. Hope not to waste a few Ts . . . wish me luck.

Glimmer of hope

My ironhead and this keeps me going through the winter. Looking forward to making some progress in the spring and summer this year. Hope the motorcycle gods will be on my side.
