Getting the start procedures down, think I got it
Posted by Hon | January 24th, 2010 | Filed under Blog
Middle of winter and I’m messing with start procedures, the neighbors love me : ). Can’t help it with the weather above zero for a bit. I think I got it down good.
Another shot of the Ironhead, getting some natural light from the garage door being open, it’s been a while.

Dug up my bates seat
Posted by Hon | January 5th, 2010 | Filed under Blog
Now look, I have take a look at my seat, still love it. Cool custom color, wondering what I’ll end up running it on, hmmm . . .
Pics from the first day I got it, a very happy day. It was one of those where you know it’s coming but you have to leave the office. I came back to find a sticky on the door and couldn’t rush to the post office to pick up for another 2 hours! Co workers thought I was crazy for loving an old worn out seat.

Garage clean up

Man, got so psyched looking at some of those displays at the Yokohama show. Started cleaning up the garage. Threw up a quick garage door insulation kit and got a heater. Lets see what follows this winter. I’ll post a few displays from the Yokohama show soon.

Friday – Close up . . . sorta

Had to take a chunk out of the fender a few weeks ago, scared at first but it all worked out. Got to roll the sissy bar up at the same time, really visually tightened things up.

Seat springs snapped!
Posted by Hon | December 5th, 2009 | Filed under Blog
My seat springs snapped, I’m a small dude so I had the seat pushed up forward a little too much and the springs had a lot of angle on them. Looks like they snapped at the mounts. Got another set here, going to ease the seat back alittle so that the springs are more upright and don’t take load on a weird angle.
For fun, I set the Bates seat on it. Nice and meaty, didn’t look too bad but the colors clash, so the black seat will be going back on tomorrow.

Last shots of my bike at JPRC for a while

I think I got the kick start procedure down today. Some final bending of the kickstand helped keep the bike stable for me. Bike sounds great, last thing to do next spring will be to clean up the wires and cables a bit. Great feeling thinking to have the bike back at home soon.
