Catching up on blogs
Posted by Hon | January 1st, 2012 | Filed under Blog
I’ve been out of touch with blog land lately. I had a chance today to do some catching up. I always like what Milo and 45 Chop is up too. Looks like his 45 project is full speed ahead. A pic from his blog with the “master” and their first ride. I hope this will be Jason and I and my 45 in the near future. Stance is cool and rigid front end must be a blast, great to see progress like this!

Mooneyes – Rides #1
Posted by Hon | December 29th, 2011 | Filed under Blog
I don’t even know where to start for posting bikes that were ridden to the show. All day long people where coming from all over Japan on vintage motorcycles that are daily rides. It was a whole other show outside and in the underground parking. We’re talking 1000′s of bikes of interest. Here’s one to start, an Ironhead (since I ride one) in the underground parking.

Mooneyes – Jeff Decker @ Hippodrome Studio
Posted by Hon | December 28th, 2011 | Filed under Blog
I’ve been writing about meeting with fellow enthusiasts throughout my Yokohama posts. Jeff Decker has a wealth of motorcycle knowledge and for sure is one of the most well respected enthusiasts in our community. It made my day to find out that he’s down to earth and was just as excited to be in Japan as I was. We had the chance to have several brief conversations over the course of 2 days about random stuff – his “stroller crossing” techniques, his WR racer, and the experience of being at the show. Nice meeting with you Jeff, looking forward to running into you again in the future.

Mooneyes – Bear Parts Co.
Posted by Hon | December 28th, 2011 | Filed under Videos
It’s always great to know that you will bump into someone you know when you go to a foreign land. It was good to see Adam Nickel and his wife at the show. I’ve actually never met him in person but we are definitely on the same wave length. He did the beautiful illustration for the first Throttle. blog tshirt which people seem to connect with. I had to run early so I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye but I’m sure our paths will cross again. Check out Bear Parts Co. for Adam’s cool Bates replica seats and p-pads. Also below is a cool vid he put together of the show. Catch up with you soon Adam!

Jason’s 62

Lifted these photos from Jason, the 62 went to its new home while I was out of the country. Super fun bike, it was hard for Jason to see it go for sure.
Vintage Gas Tank

Super cool vintage tank on the bay. One of those that you could use as inspiration for a whole bike. Very nice.
