I regret not capturing more shots of the mood and crowd at the show. I was just overwhelmed with everything to look at and see, mostly took pics of bikes. Here are 2 great shots first fromHalf Moon Garage and second from Born Loser Blog.
Mike worked all day long. I'm glad I caught him for a moment while I had a chance. His bike is looking awesome.
Mike grabbing some goodies from people all over the world to give away.
Everyone had a fair shot at this bike. Here is a shot of it at 9am in the morning while you could actually get up close to it . . .
. . . and here is a shot with Tim Martin the stoked winner! He grabbed the ticket at the show too!
Funny what technology does, when it works its fantastic. When I arrived at the show the first person I chatted with was Harpoon. It's like I knew what he was up to just by checkin' the blogs. His bike is awesome. Motor just rebuilt by Bacon. More photos to follow, taking off to check out LA a bit before flying home to Toronto on the redeye. This pic starts to give you an idea of how crowded the show started to get. I'm small and I'm wedged between 2 bikes, probably the only free space left!
I have to admit, I felt like a bit of a stalker shooting photos of people and their bikes as they rolled in. If anyone wants anything removed just email me!
I love Wil's bike. I caught some shots as he rode in before it started getting really busy.
Tanks done by Kiyo from Garage Company. Wil mentioned he's just going enjoy this bike now and keep it as is for the time being.
Both his bikes together.
What can I say. The show was great. I got there at 9:00 am or so thinking to help out. But the Born Free team had everything under control already. There was already quite a few bikes there and more coming every minute. By noon time the official show time the place was jammed.
I had a chance to see a lot of the bikes I drool over in blogland and meet some of the people behind them. Everyone was super cool. There were people from all over the world. Here's a peak at some of the shots I took. I tended to gravitate towards the bikes that have inspired me, like this, Mark Drews pan. Thanks to the Born Free team for the great hospitality, food, drinks and bikes, all for free!
Lots of posts to come over the next few days!
For the next 2 days this is home. Not much of a party person, I've seen a few of the crews here already, hope to see them at the show tomorrow. Everybody's bikes are looking good. It feels like an earth quake here with the crews blasting by!
